Skipping combines movement, endurance and coordination. For the rope to be guided evenly, both hands need to hold the handles securely and perform the turning movement in a shared rhythm.

If grip function is limited on one side, the handle may slip or the rope may turn unevenly. This interrupts the movement pattern and makes the jumping more difficult to control. A suitable aid supports the affected side in holding and guiding the handle. This can help the turning movement to be performed more evenly and reduce the need for active gripping. How Lynk Modules Support This Activity 

The Lynk System with the Clic Lock Module is suitable for orthotic support when grip function is not sufficiently reliable. The base encases the forearm in the form of a lightweight orthosis and provides a secure attachment point for the Clic Lock Module. When skipping, the module can be quickly attached to and detached from a compatible Clic head fitted to the skipping rope handle. Different Clic heads allow for different rotational movements and head shapes, enabling the system to be adapted to different handles and individual arm positions. The Lock version provides additional security for the connection and is designed to remain securely attached during the fast and repeated turning movements. Various rotation adjustment options allow the handle to be aligned at the required angle. By selecting different Clic Lamellas, the required release force can be adjusted to suit the specific application. This ensures that the connection remains secure while skipping and can be released precisely when needed. The system is designed for ease of use and can be quickly attached and detached. When the handle is held securely on the affected side, the turning movement can be performed more evenly. This supports a more stable rhythm and reduces the need to repeatedly stop skipping in order to adjust the grip. The Push Module enables a suitable handle to be held securely without the need to grip it continuously with the fingers. The curved module head is made from a flexible material, allowing it to conform more closely to the shape of the handle. The handle is placed into the module head and secured using a hook-and-loop strap. The strap is connected to the module through a slot in the head. The corresponding hook is held in position by magnets and a click-in mechanism. The module head can be turned slightly to the left or right to adapt it to the orientation of the handle and the individual arm position. When skipping, this allows the handle to be positioned appropriately and held securely during the repeated turning movements. Before use, it should be checked that the handle is correctly positioned and securely fastened.

How Explorer Modules Support This Activity

The Explorer System with the Twin Module is suitable for prosthetic fitting of the forearm in adults. The lightweight, 3D-printed Explorer System consists of a socket, the Explorer Ring as a connecting component, and a module for the relevant activity. When skipping, the Twin Module holds the skipping rope handle securely in position during the repeated turning movements. The module is pressed onto the handle by hand so that the helix grippers enclose it and hold it in a defined position. The angle of the Twin Module can be adjusted individually. Using the slide button, the joint can be unlocked, moved into the desired position and then securely locked again. This allows the handle to be aligned with the arm position and the natural circular movement of the rope without requiring the arm to remain in a rigid position. The module can be easily attached to and detached from the socket. It is available in two sizes for different handle diameters and can be configured with or without length compensation using an integrated spacer. The appropriate configuration is determined during the measurement process. When the handles are held securely and aligned appropriately on both sides, the rope can turn more evenly. This supports a controlled movement rhythm and may help to reduce one-sided compensatory movements in the arm, shoulder or upper body.
