Benefits for the care provision

The Explorer products are characterised by their light weight and breathability, which provides a high level of comfort. The system is highly modular to give users and professionals the flexibility to customise their uses and applications. This allows users to adapt the products to their specific needs and use them in a variety of ways.

Reliable cost planning

The automation of the 3D model and the optimised use of materials for the socket production enable a reliable cost planning. Thanks to standardised process steps, the risk of subsequent adjustments is low.

CE-marked accessory

The modules are accessories of a prosthesis socket and CE-marked. Production and risk management are carried out within the framework of the MDR specifications and ISO 13485.

Flexbile applicable

The modules are equipped with an M12 x 1.5 or 1/2-20'' screw thread. This means that the modules can also be used as accessories independently of the Explorer socket, provided that compatibility is given.

Using the system components flexibly

The modularity of the product allows you to use either just the modules or the stem or all together. The shaft design is adapted to your arm geometry and has a rotationally symmetrical design.

Use only the Explorer modules?

No problem at all! The Explorer modules are always compatible with a custom-made prosthetic socket if an M12x1.5 or 1/2-20'' thread has been used.

Benefits for the workflow

The Explorer System illustrates how macu4's design-as-a-service approach increases workflow efficiency, introduces a user-centric customer journey and adds value to users through the features of the final product.

Reliably adapted

A personalized socket design that recreates the arm geometry rotationally symmetrically using just a few measured values. The measurement is carried out in two steps: recording the arm stump geometry (scan or photo) and the arm length difference.

Modular approach

The modularity of the product increases workflow efficiency by minimising the need for customisation and offering many options for application.

Online configurable

Configure the system in three easy steps! Step 1: Capture arm geometry (photo technique or scan). Step 2: Determine product components. Step 3: Select colour combination.
