My situation and needs
My name is Nele and I am missing part of my left forearm and hand. I met you at the Ahoi e.V. club meeting in 2023. That's where I first became aware of the Bike Module. I was immediately interested in the concept, and after the meeting I had the opportunity to try it out at home at my leisure.
How I experience activities differently now
In everyday life, I notice that I can ride my bike much more safely with the Bike Module. The stable connection to the handlebars gives me much better grip, which makes me feel safer when riding. The joint is also particularly helpful, as it makes it easier for me to push the bike across roads and traffic lights. I also feel much safer when cornering, as the module provides good guidance and nothing slips.
My experience after 1.5 years of use
This modular and functional prosthesis was developed for people who have lost their grip function. It is particularly helpful because it is very easy to use—the lacing system-based closure makes it easy to put on and take off. In addition, the prosthesis is very light, weighing less than 300 grams. Furthermore, both specialists and users can use the aid very flexibly. If necessary, it can also be offered as a custom-made product.
