My situation and needs
My name is Mario, I am 19 years old and was born with dysmelia in my right hand. I have been a test subject since the early days of macu4. The company was looking for people who wanted to test their products extensively—at that time, in a completely different form. A lot has changed over the years, and today I mainly use the ball module and the bike module.
How I experience activities differently now
In the past, it was impossible for me to serve consistently in tennis because I always had to toss the ball with my racket and hit it into the court on the off chance. This affected my entire game and made tournaments or matches impossible. But since I started using the Ball Module, I can finally serve normally. This has finally enabled me to play matches—with a real chance of winning! The Explorer System has also made cycling much easier. It allows me to remain mobile without any problems and enjoy cycling.
My experience after 1.5 years of use
My everyday life has changed noticeably. Thanks to the ball module, I can finally execute a normal serve, which has greatly improved my game and my motivation for the sport. Matches that were impossible before are now feasible. The bike module also makes cycling easier for me and ensures that I remain mobile and independent. Overall, I have noticed how much the right aids can improve my self-confidence.
