My situation and needs

My name is Silvia, I’m 58 years old, and I have been living with CRPS, a chronic pain condition, in my left hand for 15 years. This has caused a severe loss of function. Before my knee surgery, I faced major challenges because I couldn’t use my arm to walk with crutches and would have otherwise needed a wheelchair. However, I wanted to remain as independent as possible and actively participate in my rehabilitation. Thanks to the Lynk System, I was able to practice walking with walking aids even before the surgery, which helped me feel much better prepared.

How I experience activities differently now

With the Lynk System and the Push Module, I was able to walk safely with walking on crutches during my rehabilitation. The system supported part of my body weight on my arm, reducing the strain on my hand and wrist. This allowed me to walk for about ten minutes with only mild pain. It gave me a great sense of freedom—I could take a more active role in therapy and better support the recovery of my knee.

My experience after 2 months of use

I have used the Lynk System every day. The available sizes made it easy to adjust and use it temporarily. For me, the system represents safety, relief, and independence. It helped me take a more active part in my rehabilitation and manage my daily life independently despite my limitations.

What is the Lynk System?

This modular and functional orthosis was developed for people who have limited grip function or need to protect their wrist. It is particularly helpful that it is very easy to use—the magnetic closure makes it easy to put on and take off. In addition, the orthosis is very light, weighing less than 250 grams. Furthermore, both professionals and users can use the aid very flexibly. Thanks to the standard sizes, the system is available immediately. If necessary, it can also be offered as a custom-made product.
