My situation and needs

My name is Joachim and I am 36 years old. Due to my congenital disability AMC, I have unstable and immobile joints as well as weak muscles, especially in my arms and hands. This leads to challenges in everyday life, as I have to compensate for the functions of my arms. I recently became a proud father and was therefore looking for a solution that would enable me to push the stroller safely and comfortably.

How I experience activities differently now

I am affected on both sides, which makes it difficult to put on and take off assistive devices. The cover makes it easier for me to slip into the Lynk system, and it is also possible to insert and move the modules despite my limited strength. I can maneuver the stroller safely, stably, and effortlessly over sidewalks, uneven terrain, and thresholds.

My experience after 9 months of use

I use the system not only for pushing the stroller, but also for strength training and therapy. It also helps me prevent further discomfort in my shoulder and torso. The option to use different modules is great. I can also use it for activities such as cutting vegetables or bread, carrying shopping bags, or playing cards with friends. I am glad to have found an aid that supports me in my role as a father and helps me stay fit.

What is the Lynk System?

This modular and functional orthosis was developed for people who have limited grip function or need to protect their wrist. It is particularly helpful that it is very easy to use—the magnetic closure makes it easy to put on and take off. In addition, the orthosis is very light, weighing less than 250 grams. Furthermore, both professionals and users can use the aid very flexibly. Thanks to the standard sizes, the system is available immediately. If necessary, it can also be offered as a custom-made product.
