My situation and needs

Our son Dani is a lively child with a partial malformation of his left hand, which only has stubs for fingers. He shows a healthy ambition to do as much as possible on his own. Riding a bike was particularly challenging. Without support, Dani couldn't learn to ride a bike safely. We wanted him to be able to experience the same activities as other children his age, so we looked for a versatile aid that would allow us to enjoy bike rides together as a family.

How I experience activities differently now

With the Lumo System, Dani can now ride his bike safely and steadily. He can simply insert his arm into the cuff and has a firm grip on the handlebars. At the same time, the system can be quickly released in the event of a fall. He rides more flexibly and independently, is much safer on the road, and really enjoys himself. It's especially nice that he can now ride his bike with us as a family without any problems—this gives us all new freedoms. Dani was even able to use the system while painting the walls, actively helping his father with the renovation. We are thrilled with how intuitively and safely Dani uses the system.

My experience after 6 months of use

After six months, Dani uses the Lumo system about three times a week. We particularly appreciate that the system is easy to remove, allows for modular adjustments, and is intuitive to use. It is quick to learn, flexible, and as practical as an IKEA wardrobe. For Dani, the system means one thing above all else: greater independence.

What is the Lynk System?

This modular and functional orthosis was developed for people who have limited grip function or need to protect their wrist. It is particularly helpful that it is very easy to use—the magnetic closure makes it easy to put on and take off. In addition, the orthosis is very light, weighing less than 250 grams. Furthermore, both professionals and users can use the aid very flexibly. Thanks to the standard sizes, the system is available immediately. If necessary, it can also be offered as a custom-made product.
